Navin Kumar Singh, is a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He also has a Masters Degree in Anti-Corruption Studies from the International Anti-Corruption Academy, Vienna. He is an NTS Scholar and the recipient of the First prize for academic excellence in core curriculum at IIT, Kanpur. He has also received the award for the best Master Thesis by International Anti-Corruption Academy, Vienna in 2016.

Shri Navin Kumar Singh is an Indian Police Service Officer of 1996 batch, Jharkhand cadre. He is a recipient of the prestigious Police medal for Gallantry by the President of India and twice recipient of the Jharkhand CM’s Medals for Gallantry. For his outstanding contributions to policing, Shri Singh has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Jharkhand Police Medal for meritorious service and Jharkhand Governor’s Medal for Distinguished Service. Election Commission of India has also bestowed the award for Best Electoral Practice in East Zone to Shri Singh.

He was part of the Indian Delegation in the second meeting of Intergovernmental group of UNODC on cyber crime in Vienna, Austria in 2013. He has worked as the Nodal Officer for cyber crime in Jharkhand during 2017-2020 where he single handedly developed a pro-active response mechanism for tackling cyber crime, for which he was given the FICCI smart policing award. He has also contributed to the establishment of the Crime & Criminal Tracking and Networking System (CCTNS) of Jharkhand police, development of its website, social media policies and citizen centric services. He is credited with improving police delivery using technology. He is a member of many important Cyber Security related committees at the national level contributing to policy/strategy formulation.

He is presently heading the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre since July 2021, which is the national nodal body for protection of Critical Information Infrastructure of the country.
